Job Title: Full-Stack Web Developer
Job Type: Remote
Compensation: $60K – $100K/yr (based on experience)
Job Description: We’re looking to hire a front-end website developer to help our clients. Preferably, that person will also have some back-end development skills to help us become more efficient internally.
Some of our clients already have a contract or an in-house web developer. You’d mainly be working with clients who don’t have one.
Most of our clients use WordPress, which is our preferred CMS. However, some of our clients use a proprietary CMS (eg. Sierra Interactive for Real Estate agents).
Front-End Development Responsibilities:
- We have a team of experienced SEOs. But sometimes, SEOs need help implementing certain things. You’d be helping with that.
- Designing/building websites for our clients. We currently don’t do this, but it’s something that we’d like to try. You’d play an integral part in that.
- Making website design and functionality changes.
- Providing quality assurance (QA), such as when a client’s developer launches a site.
- Troubleshooting/fixing website bugs.
- Updating WordPress plugins, themes, etc.
Back-End Development Responsibilities:
- We have some ideas on how the software we use (Asana, Harvest, Google Sheets/Docs, Google Ads, Google Data Studio) can work together better to make our jobs more efficient. We’d like you to help brainstorm ideas and implement them.
The following skills are required:
- Web development background with knowledge of basic SEO principles.
- Strong knowledge of:
- WordPress front-end/back-end development (including Gutenberg)
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
- Integrating APIs
- RegEx
- Experience working with:
- Website hosts
- Domain name registrars
In order to be good at this role, you’d need to:
- Develop plans and implement them on large and small projects.
- Work independently and with a team.
- Focus on details, such as thoroughly documenting processes.
- Be curious and eager to learn in a fast-paced internet marketing industry.
- Have a willingness to adapt to the SEO techniques we use.
