Contacting Google Business Profile Support (Forming Known as Google My Business Support)

Things go wrong, questions come up, and sometimes you just need help with your Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) account. But how do you contact Google Business Profile support? If you’re looking in your Google Business Profile or Google Business Profile Agency dashboard to contact Google Business customer service and no longer see a call button, you’re not alone. There is no longer a Google My Business phone number to contact for support. Sometime in 2020, Google Business Profile consolidated virtually all of its support contact forms into one single form.

As of today, there are three main ways you can contact GBP Support.

  1. Contact Form
  2. Social Media
  3. Google Business Profile Forum

Always start with this form as it is the most direct way to contact GBP Support –

When you fill out that form, you will get the option to contact Google by email, and sometimes, they also show chat support or phone support. If you do get those options, I strongly recommend chat over the phone support.

Often, when you fill in that form, you will get an email with a canned response. If you don’t respond to the email, you won’t get help.

If you’re having trouble with a support request, there are 2 other places you can go for help. I’d only suggest using these if you’ve already contacted Google using that form but aren’t getting the resolution you think you should get.

Expect a response from their customer service support team within 24-48 hours (Monday-Friday only). During times of heavy usage, the Google business customer service Social team can become backlogged, and response times can take a week or more.

You can’t talk directly to a Googler on the forum but can get advice from the Google Product Experts who have the ability to escalate issues if necessary. The Google Business Profile Forum is peer-supported and managed primarily by a group of Product Experts who have the ability to escalate issues and cases to Google.  You can see a list of the current Product Experts here.  It’s best to post on the forum if you want feedback on a particular issue, see something odd that you feel might be a bug, or need clarification on a particular policy. For spam-related issues, you need to use the Redressal Form

    1. I need help finding my GMB. I set it up 3 weeks ago, The 5 Star Guy, LLC, but nobody can find it. I phone verified it. Can you assist?

      1. Hi Steven, I’m going to email you with some questions to see if we can help you find the profile.

    2. I’ve been trying to change my address of my local business for 3 weeks. Every day customers are going to the wrong place. I’ve emailed 5 times and had all of my friends and family suggest changes to the address. NO one has contacted me back. I tried the forum, no help. I’m at the end of my rope here

        1. I am a practicing ENT doctor, I had my GMB profile from past 5 years but it got suspended 2 days back, I have submitted the reinstate form, kindly help.

  1. Facebook since it started has been very reliable, just don’t expect an immediate reply, you post a question, they answer within x amount of time, you reply, etc, etc
    But issues do get fixed.

        1. Hi. I’ve had my facebook hacked and threatenimg message so I’ve closed it down. But I’ve jackos driving school Facebook pages on Google. Could you please close all links to my business as this is caused me lots of stress and anxiety many thanks Steve

          1. Hey Steve,

You need to contact Google to do this (not us). You can see how to get in touch with them using the methods referenced in this article.

  2. Thanks for the article guys. We had a bunch of issues with old accounts not being updates while the passwords had been lost. Not an ideal situation. Fingers crossed Google can help us sort this out.

  3. Hi Guys,

Given steps are very useful, buy in my Google My Business Dashboard, there is no any option Email/Call Us.

My Local Business Listing fetch images from my website, that is not clearly visible to the visitors. I want to prevent this image and upload clear images in Local Business Listing.

Please suggest me, how can I fix it?

    Nishi Chandra

  4. I was facing the same issue a week back. Upon contacting, they were very quick to respond to my query. It took 7 hours for Google to fix my issue.

    1. Thank you for the link!! I got to list all 4 case numbers regarding my Google My Business suspension problems in that message. I sent the message yesterday and my service was reinstated early today. Exactly 6 weeks after I sent in my reinstatement form. A week and a half after I was told my listing was going to be reinstated and nothing happened. And half a week after I offered (and did) send my business license and a photo of the office sign. I had moved my office and was told by Google reps that my suspension was because I made “too many edits on one day.”

I feel for everyone going through this. The people at the call center in India are really nice and professional but they can’t do much to help.

  5. Hello,
Been trying to get a verified by mail business website into the business listings for 6 weeks now and just keep seeing this message. I have tried multiple times to contact Google regarding this but no one seems able to help. Justy don’t quite understand what the hold up is or if it is ever going to be listed. Help. Anyone.

Your business is verified. Listings may be reviewed for quality and can take up to 3 days to be published.

    1. Hey Don,

Usually when listings get a pending message it’s because there is something about it that Google doesn’t trust. I’d suggest posting some details about it over at the Google My Business forum to see if one of the moderators there can give you some feedback around why Google might not want to publish it.

  6. There is some mismatch in the address while updating the details on on Google my business. Could you please advise whether my request has been taken and work is in progress on that as the status of my Google business is not updated

  7. We’ve been having issues with pictures updating and in some cases waited for months without anything happening. This might just help. Thank you.

  8. Thanks for linking to their help center. We’re experiencing some duplicate challenges with Google My Business. I will try to see if I can get through their help center.

  9. Thank you for providing such details about contacting Google. Though we had only tried the phone support when it was available and only email recently, now we have more options to contact them. However, I agree that following their guidelines is the best way to prevent getting penalized.

Joy, what if you have a SAB that has client meetings at their home office as well as other places. How do you handle that?

    1. If they have permanent signs posted at their home for their business, they might be eligible to show their home address on the listing.

      1. Thank you for your reply, Joy. I realize that this might work, but I want to clarify, do you mean a permanent sign posted outside their home or signage or plaque inside their home office?

    1. If the verification postcard doesn’t arrive or you do not receive mail at your business address here is what you should do:
      Request the postcard anyway
After five to ten days contact GMB Support via Twitter @GoogleMyBiz
Explain that you have requested the postcard and it has not arrived
Google should be able to help you get verified manually as long as your business meets the eligibility requirements.

  10. In case of Google My Business Forum, You can not talk to a Googler directly on the forum, but you can receive advice from product experts, who can scale up problems if necessary. A group of product experts who have the ability to manage issues and cases in Google primarily support and manage the Google My Business Forum.

  11. I’m having a problem with our business listing. Somehow they added a line “Located in” and have listed another business in the same office building with a link to their website. It’s a company that we are not involved with and don’t want to be associated with. I cant get a proper response or input from Google on how to delete this link. They seem hell bent on leaving it there even though we don’t want it on there. Any thoughts or suggestions on resolving this issue?

  12. Unfortunately, Google has made business services useless by avoiding answering business owners. This is unfair and nonsense. I emailed them few times, but no useful information came up.

  13. At 19.Oct.2021 there is no phone contact option. It doesn’t come up. There is only an email option. The only help you will receive are generic email responses, telling you “oh well sometimes our algorithm just deletes your legitimate reviews, so just deal with it”. Then silence and no more help. This is messed up. At this point in time they are less than helpful. They need to have phone support to accurately help people.

  14. My business is not recognized on google maps. It doesnt exist and the address that is given comes up in 3 different towns, 2 in iowa and 1 in pennsylvania. I need to talk to someone on a phone.

  15. Recently we have contacted Google my business through their Google Maps Business Redressal Form but it’s almost 3 weeks we have not received any reply or we have not seen any actions taken against the offender for spamming business name with keywords. That business is so desperate that every time a “suggest edit” happens, they again add keywords in some time. Though Google sent a disclaimer in their reply that there is no guarantee or committed timeline regarding the actions taken/to be taken, but it’s sad that many bad businesses are taking undue advantage of Google my business system by spamming with keywords , location etc deliberately in title and creating multiple fake listing targeting keywords in business names. Few are also using fake reviews with keywords added to the content. Google should fine tune their system to prevent these sort of incidents in future.

  16. This blog content provides valuable information for anyone looking to get in touch with Google My Business. The step-by-step guide on how to contact support is clear and concise, making it easy for users to navigate the process. Its very helpful resource for those seeking assistance.
