The Google Business Profile Booking Link Nightmare and How to Fix It Fast

I’m going to share a story about one of the most frustrating issues I’ve seen business owners face with their Google Business Profile (GBP).

Booking links are normally a great feature for your Google Business Profile, except when they’re broken, or wrong, and you have no way to fix it.

I recently helped a service-based business owner whose booking link was not only wrong, it was sending leads to someone else. Yikes! Imagine your potential customers booking appointments…only you don’t know anything about it.

This poor guy had contacted Google and had waited months only to be told “it’s escalated” and then…nothing. Crickets.

It’s the most frustrating response ever, no solutions, no timeline, just “wait” endlessly.

Thankfully, that’s when Claudia Tomina showed up to save the day. She’s worked with tons of businesses facing the exact same nightmare, so she knew exactly how to solve this issue.

How to Fix a Wrong Booking Link

What made Claudia’s solution work was that when she reached out to the third party who controlled the booking link (not Google), she didn’t just send polite emails asking for a fix. Nope. Claudia called out the third-party company for basically scamming the business.
The kicker was she gave them a one-hour deadline to get it fixed. You might think that’s aggressive, but it worked.

That same day, that third-party company went from ignoring everything to fixing the booking link ASAP. I should mention, the business owner already tried reaching out to them and got no response. The thing is, he didn’t do it like Claudia.

Moral of the story? If you’re stuck in booking link limbo, sometimes you gotta channel your inner Claudia and get a little aggressive to get the job done.

  1. how is this even possible that someone was able to get inside your client's GBP and add their own booking link?
