Sparkling Local SEO Tips for Fireworks Stands With Seasonal Google Business Profiles

Do you need to delete your Google Business Profile (GBP) each year if you are a seasonal business?

Summer is here and you may have already seen fireworks going off in anticipation of the summer holidays. In Canada, Canada Day is celebrated on July 1 and in the US, Independence Day is celebrated on July 4. Both of these holidays tend to use a lot of fireworks.

This means many fireworks stands and shops are popping up or opening back up after taking some time off. In essence, they are a seasonal business.

Google has a much better handle on seasonal businesses than they used to.  Google now offers a “temporarily closed” label for your Google Business Profile.  If you are a seasonal business, according to Google’s guidelines, you should update your business description to clarify that you are a seasonal business. Then, you should go in and edit your hours and check the box that indicates you are temporarily closed during your off-season.

This is one guideline that has been extremely helpful to seasonal businesses such as fireworks stands.
