Want a simple, high-impact Local SEO tip that takes 10 minutes to implement? This one change can boost local pack rankings significantly.
One of the easiest ways to increase organic rankings for a local business is by adding the business address to the footer of the website.
This business was a service area business and didn’t have its address listed. Once we added it to the footer, here’s what happened:
📈 Their ranking for “furnace repair Phoenix” skyrocketed.

📊 Organic vs. Local Pack Impact – Not only did it boost organic rankings, but their local pack rankings improved too!
🔍 The Local Query Factor – Google’s algorithm responded by boosting their organic ranking for “furnace repair”—but only within Phoenix’s borders. This confirms how Google prioritizes local businesses for local queries.

If you operate more than one location, this tactic still works—maybe even better!
We tested it with a multi-location business:
✅ First Location Added – Immediate ranking boost.

✅ Second Location Added – Slight increase.

✅ Third Location Added – Significant ranking jump.

🚀 Key Insight: The first location’s rankings didn’t drop when we added more. That means adding multiple addresses won’t dilute rankings—it enhances them!
If you manage a multi-location business, add all your addresses to your website’s footer. This simple tweak can dramatically boost your local SEO performance.

Very intrestant! Does this just work within 1 major city?
Is this possible to add a second and third location – when its more than 50-100 miles away? thx
The addresses were all in the same state for this test, but I would still try it for addresses further away!

Love the data you’ve shared here – how might you approach a business that has ~20 locations? That’s one busy footer! Perhaps adding specific address to footer of each individual location page? Or do you think the benefit here is that the NAP appears sitewide?
