In November, at LocalU advanced, I talked about many Google Business Profile (GBP) tactics that are underutilized. The next one is GBP query insights (called Searches Breakdown in the dashboard), which I think are underutilized and underappreciated. Query insights are a fantastic way to analyze data and demonstrate performance and progress to your clients.
Demonstrate Performance and Progress
We wanted to have discovery keywords for this dental clinic surpass brand name searches. “Best cosmetic dentist NYC” and “Dentist NYC” were our priorities – we wanted them to get more visibility for these keywords. Using the query insights, we were able to demonstrate the impact of our work (see image below).
These screenshots (above) are taken directly from the query insights dashboard. If you look at the screenshot on the left, you will see in April of 2022, the brand name of the business was getting the majority of the searches. However, if you look at the screenshot on the right, you will see by August of 2022, after we did a lot of work on the site, you will see “best cosmetic dentist NYC” and “dentist NYC” are now the top two queries that they are getting discovered for. We were able to use the GBP Query Insights to show the client that our hard work paid off.
